Title: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Tetsu (Soltur) on February 28, 2013, 04:01:37 AM
The Sunspot Fortress is a castle on a planetoid near the sun. It is very hot and very bright there. It is currently under the control of the Sacred Flame. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!

Lux sat in the break room. "Why are we guarding this place here again? It's not like anybody travels here. It's too close to the sun for most people." Lux asked Soltur. Lux twirled his blade out of sheer boredom.

Post by: Tetsu (Soltur) on March 03, 2013, 05:06:46 AM
"Think about the power that can be harnessed from the sun," said Soltur simply.

"but who would be dumb enough to get CLOSE to it. Mercury and wind Adepts can cool themselves, but Venus Adepts would burn up. Think of the dangers of being this close to the sun." Lux explained.

"The creators of the Umbra Gear made another form of it to siege this very castle some years back," explained Soltur. "Trust me, we have to guard it at all times."

But Arkane has the umbra gear, passed down from Sveta for saving her life.
He hid behind a column's shadow
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Tetsu (Soltur) on March 03, 2013, 11:47:24 PM
Soltur sensed a presence. "Be ready for battle," whispered Soltur to Lux.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on March 05, 2013, 02:41:51 AM
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" Lux groaned. Not that Umbra geared person AGAIN. and he left the room and entered the control room turning on the defense system. the close area around the fortress began to lower. Now the fortress was surrounded by a square crater while the fortress itself was on the uncratered land.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Tetsu (Soltur) on March 05, 2013, 03:01:31 PM
Soltur looked around the room, trying to sense where the intruder was.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

Arkane blew wind coming from the other direction at soltur
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Tetsu (Soltur) on March 05, 2013, 10:26:41 PM
Soltur's head snapped toward the OPPOSITE direction of the wind. He knew this trick. It's been done before.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Aether on March 06, 2013, 01:03:54 AM
Then different winds blew from different directions, at a seemingly random timing
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on March 07, 2013, 08:16:08 AM
Luxaria smiled. This was a new person. Just a extremely small breeze caught Luxaria. "I love wind." He said.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Aether on March 07, 2013, 11:19:59 PM
The winds started to blow harder, harder evermore
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on March 07, 2013, 11:57:00 PM
Lux hopped out of the castle and landed in front of Arkane. "You call that hard? I can barely feel it. But I'd rather you not. Not sure if the sun could take it. If it weren't for tthat I'd let you keep blowing, but I can't let you freeze the world you used to live in." Lux pulled out his blade and sliced at Arkane.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Aether on March 08, 2013, 12:07:03 AM
Arkane ignored Lux and sprinted to the next shadow.

(Comon other people...)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Nyran on March 08, 2013, 12:16:05 AM
Nyran made it to this fortress very carefully. He felt kinda hot, but otherwise he lived. He walked up to the castle and waited for a strike to come, or for a prime moment to attack.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on March 08, 2013, 01:25:38 AM
Lux wandered and found Nyran. "What's a Venus Adept doing so close to the sun? Wouldn't they burn up by now? Or are you one of those high melting point ones that attack with rock and metal instead of rock and plants?" Lux shouted.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Nyran on March 08, 2013, 01:28:49 AM
"Look, let's just say I'm awesome." Nyran said, drawing Zanvat, ready to fight if he has to
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

Arkane rushed to a column. He was nearing the fortress
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

"Yah sure whatever." Lux took out a book ready to bring him into an light illusion
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Nyran on March 08, 2013, 01:35:08 AM
Nyran knocked the book out of his hands with a small flying rock.

"No! This is the batlefield, and I'm not getting sidetracked!" He said, running at Lux
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on March 08, 2013, 01:37:02 AM
Lux summoned the book and turned it into a sword. "If you say so" Lux smirked. Lux swung the sword at Nyran. It still had the true power of the book.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Nyran on March 08, 2013, 03:25:25 AM
Nyran blockeed with Zanvat, but took some recoil damage. While holding Lux's sword at bay, Nyran kicked Lux in the stomach
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on March 08, 2013, 07:34:27 AM
Unfortunately Lux wasn't there anymore. "Always expect a trick when dealing with an illusionist." Lux put his sword close to Nyran's neck, almost cutting it. "Try again." Lux took Nyran inside his book. the scene was exactly the same and Lux was summoning his book back to him. Time travel or illusion? Only the smartest could tell. Meaning the least of the group is very dumb.

Lux, please attempt to fight more fairly. Nyran is correct: You need to just attack or defend. I'm not sure I like the book...

Well, ya can't. Especially since I'm inside and you're outside. If ya wanna get past, ya gotta sneak past Nyran and Lux.

Arkane gets up and walks to the next floor of this place. Soltur, if you will, tell me what the heck I see.

Lux got dizzy inside the book and was thrown out. "Never went that far. Oh I think I might puke." Lux started to crawl away. "Never doing that again" The book also coughed up Nyran.

Ouch. The book landed on his wing, and he transformed back to human form, holding his arm. He began his search for the room with the orb

Ivan crawled away to the room with the Orb.

Aether sensed a presence, hmm, that way! He detected Ivan's electrical pulse for a while. It shortly disappeared, but now he has a general idea of where to go
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on April 30, 2013, 05:40:55 AM
When Ivan got to the room he immedediatly regenerated. "Darkness and Earth are weak here i think...hopefully Jupiter and Mercury don't get this far." Ivan touched the orb and the halls started to become twisted and filled with fire traps and light mirages.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

Aether arrived at the room. He took a step forward and fire explods on his face. He cursed, having alarmed like everyone where he was. So much for subtlety

Ivan remarked. "I don't remember putting that there. NOOOOOOO! IT'S JUPITER, THERIR ATTACKS ARE NORMAL EFFECT AGAINST ME RATHER THAN LOW EFFECT!! GRAAAAH!!" Ivan Angrily starts casting multiple Light Surges.

Aether blocked most of the shots with lightning bolts of his own, but one hit him right in the stomach. More injuries, yay.

He jumped at Ivan to dodge the traps, and swung at him
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on May 05, 2013, 09:13:26 AM
Ivan dodge rolled and planted a few mines in the short roll he did. Ivan hid the orb in his pocket and ran down a twisted hall.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

Aether turned to phoenix form, and flew over the mines and into the hallway.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on May 07, 2013, 12:53:44 AM
Ivan looked behind him and freaked out. He switched on the music for Mars Lighthouse and made himself invisible bending the light around him. He kept running and hitting switches. The fortress was becoming a tower one that replicated Mars Lighthouse on the outside, but was VERY different on the inside.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Aether on May 07, 2013, 02:11:06 AM
Aether sensed Ivan's pulse, but it kept going from one place to another, almost instantly each time. He switched back to human form and sat there, perhaps he might end up coming back here
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on May 07, 2013, 02:19:58 AM
Ivan kept running. He never went through the fortress in this mode. He got lost and started taking random directions. He found himself at the 'aerie'. Ivan tripped and dropped the orb and it fell in. "FUUUUUUUU-" nothing happened. "whew, but still. FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" Ivan was sent flying and hit Aether. "I'll never get how this place works." Ivan said rubbing his head. Ivan got up and saw Aether. "Oh sorry." Ivan and Aether saw the orb rolling down the hallway. They looked at each other. Ivan ran to get it as it kept rolling non-stop.

Aether was still in sitting position. He windshifted to get ahead of Ivan and landed in a running pose. He started dashing for the orb.

(Judge, please tell us who gets to the orb first)

Ivan used light to make him faster than he was. (heh 'lightspeed') keeping at the same pace Aether was and fixed on the orb.

(.....................................You suck......................just...no...no...just no...)

Ivan trips and gets back up, but Aether has the orb! Aw well at least Ivan has a sliver of it so Aether can't take over the fortress yet. Ivan pulls out his sword. The are suddenly at the 'aerie'. ''The hell?'' Ivan points his blade at Aether. "Hand it here and you won't get hurt."
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: TakoshiWolfite on May 08, 2013, 02:47:00 PM
(Ivan you can't have a sliver of the orb while Aether has the whole orb. besides Aether's team can't get control of the place if he can't destroy it. besides having a sliver of the orb means it's already broke)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Aether on May 08, 2013, 07:37:55 PM
Aether placed the orb in his inventory. (So can I break it and control or not)

"Peace", he said. He started running off
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: TakoshiWolfite on May 08, 2013, 08:19:17 PM
(You have to destroy the orb at some point but it's not going to break easily it will take a number of attacks to do so, then you'll have to place wolfind's orb somewhere and the place is ya'lls)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on May 09, 2013, 06:11:12 AM
(oh i thought if you had the orb people could control the place unless it's not complete.....eheh pretend the sliver was a lie)

Ivan cursed and ran after Aether. Hopefully Aether didn't break it yet and wouldn't realize that the beacon is one of the locks that prevents other clans from controlling the fort. The other was somewhere in this twisted maze of a 'lighthouse'.

"This isn't going to end so easily!" Ivan growled.

(lock being that if the orb/key is destroyed the beacon will now take any orb as the new key. So I'm guessing Takoshi you mean that even if Aether breaks the orb, anyone other than the clan already controlling it is able to control it? If not tell me and I will remake this post)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

While running, Aether took out the orb and repeatedly bashed it on the walls.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

(Bashing the orb against the wall won't work since the place is of a similar element as the orb only a contradicting element can destroy it like Lune or Mercury)

Ivan thought was getting closer to Aether. "heheh. Your not going to win this easily." Ivan bent the light around him and became invisible..he would stay invisible until he tripped AGAIN or a shadow was cast on him, or something distracted him.

"Nice try! but Just Like YOUR orb you need to give it to one who can actually destroy it. Like Takoshi for example."

(If you Takoshi disagree with me then you really need to let me be able to destroy your orb instead of me having to give it to Scorpio because I can't Destroy it myself because none of my psynergy rivals that Alliance.)

Ivan took his sword and hurled it at Aether, running down the side of the tall fort. "god dammit how do Jupiters do it so easily?" Ivan had almost started to fall 10 times already. Freakin Jupiters. He had to run really fast in order to not just fall. Then his feet stopped touching the side of the fort and Ivan was free falling.

Post by: TakoshiWolfite on June 17, 2013, 07:02:47 PM
(Actually you still can it'll just take longer while Scorpio would be faster, Btw 3/15 damage done to orb. Also you have to find my character in that RP to try to destroy it. In the case of this one my character would be useless in this place due to the heat.)

Luxaria shot up, dashed, and grasped the orb. (It's a Mars type orb. It can rise in temperature.) Luxaria cradled the orb in his arms and dashed off.  "I'll never leave you again!" Luxaria wept.

(I'm guessing there is absolutely no way to restore the orb by a small portion at all so I'm just going to hope for the best.)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

(Actually you can if you hadn't raised the temperature of the orb we'd have been at 12/15 damage to the orb)

Takoshi using what strength he had summoned Boreas(GS1) to fire an ice beam at luxaria and the orb.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on June 21, 2013, 08:38:06 PM
The Orb still grew in heat. Luckily Ivan was wearing heat proof gloves. He didn't notice the Boreas untill he got through the open fortress door. Ivan shut it as quickly as he could before It could do a lot of damage to the fortress itself and make him drop the orb once more.

Didn't help much because the door crumbled and Ivan fumbled with the orb a bit before regrasping it in his hands. Ivan dashed up the stairs and into the twisted hallways once more to make sure he would get rid of all windows.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress

After the orb was snatched, Aether followed Ivan once again. When he barricaded the door, Aether windshifted through it, removing distance between a little.

(Aether, the door broke because of Boreas and the orb can change the fortress. I could just activate it so where windows are gone.) Ivan tapped the orb and all windows in the fortress were replaced with doors. Where they led to was a mystery.

But Ivan had tricked Aether. Ivan had ran into Soltur, quickly gave Soltur the orb and quickly bent the light to make a false orb.

Ivan hoped Soltur had put the orb away somewhere ON him so that Aether wouldn't realize the trick.
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: TakoshiWolfite on July 09, 2013, 05:52:36 PM
Takoshi who was having trouble leaving due to the heat had taken shelter in the fortress until he cooled down enough to leave. while resting in a hall he sees Ivan run by him acting like he was carrying something but was unable to see it. (I am color blind so bending light to match the orb won't work on me)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: Ivan Strider on July 09, 2013, 08:30:55 PM
(he bends the light and makes it solid so there isn't just an essence of color, but an actual Item, but it's fake and will break if dropped.)
Title: Re: The Sunspot Fortress
Post by: TakoshiWolfite on July 10, 2013, 03:29:16 AM
light can't be bent to become a completely solid object because of it's a combination of the color spectrum. (which is thus again why it's not easy for me to see. it can be focused into a beam that will burn someone but not really be a solid object. will not consider it even if sly cooper can grind on infer red light beams in sly cooper 3)

(meaning anyone can actually feel it in their hands, but color blind people see it as 'invisible' then)

Soltur kept the orb handy, bending the light around it so that the photons wouldn't bounce off. (This, I deem acceptable because it's in the realm of possibility. That's how invisibility works, right?) He then kept on his guard.

Ivan ran around. He found a door and went through it. and then he found himself in a hall full of doors. "Oh great. Why'd I do this again?"

Soltur closed his eyes and began to meditate, waiting for somebody else to show up.

(So if Ivan gave it to Soltur, and I ran into him, did I at least do damage to it?)

Aether kept running, not even seeming tired.

Soltur stopped meditating and turned to his old friend. "Well met, Will! The Sol and Luna Alliances are no more. We now have three teams. We, Sol and Mars, are called the Sacred Flame. We are battling with both Nocturne Hematite (Luna and Venus) and Wolfwind (Jupiter and Mercury). These orbs are what determins whether or not we can keep this fortress."

Ivan scratched his head as he pondered which door to take. Ivan took the first door to the left. he came out in the same room except out of the first door to the left.

"First Winding Hallways, then doors that lead to nowhere. Who's idea was this again?"

(*pops will on the head* Wrong Your team has control of this location Soltur is protecting Ya'll team's orb from being destoyed by the other two teams. When ya'll's orb gets destroyed then who ever can get their orb onto the location of the previous orb then they gain control of the location and the battle resets after all 3 locations have been successfully been defended or captured. And No one has the Ability to Sense the Location of Another Team's Orb, Just Your Own orb)

(When the attackers are defeated. Unfortunately no one is really fighting right now since Aether is gone, I don't do well in hot places and Cheese and Nyran don't post in Clan Wars much anymore. Plus you guys have 4 active members on your team while the others hardly have any atm.)
