It's good. Personally, I dropped it partway through to focus on the manga, but it's still good. However, a lot of people tote this anime as the best thing known to man, and you don't want to go into this (or any anime) expecting that, or you'll be disappointed.

To quote someone else, it wasn't overrated but it was overhyped.

I don't know if I could watch both...

Also, what do y'all think of Attack on Titan? That anime keeps popping up in discussions 'round teh interwebz, and I considered watching it because it is on Netflix...
It's amazing. I was surprised it did so well. I went to AX last summer, and it was the most cosplayed anime (beat Naruto and Bleach, which I was happy about).

Uhm, biggest things about it: it seems more realistic and believable, kind of like Full Metal Alchemist. It has that same sense of urgency coupled with immersion and discovery. Also, it actually sticks to its manga, and references that in its openings.

It's been raved about because it's non-generic-anime and it works. It's pretty intense too. I especially like its animation.

I don't want to overhype and analyze it for you, but it's worth a watch in my opinion. +1 to the masses supporting Attack on Titan in the interwebz.

I tried to watch it but I couldn't get through the first episode. It bored me, but I'm odd so that may just be me.

Looks like I'm putting off my to-watch-list even further. Just too much work...

I've heard very mixed opinions of it. The concept seems pretty cool but, I've just not been in the mood for an action series.
A few episodes to test the waters couldn't hurt. It's probably at least decent, might even appeal to you even if it bad.
A favorite reviewer of mine didn't seem to like it very much though, and I respect his taste.

Could just roll a die to decide.

I liked it, but when I watch stuff I don't even notice if it's "bad" or "good" I just watch it. To the pov of reviewers tho, it's somethin like the concept is whack. But the opinion that really matters is mine and I say go ahead

You've never been watching a show and thought something along the lines of "Wow, this isn't very enjoyable" and dropped a show ?
Or been watching something and get a similar thought to "This isn't quite what I'd call quality, but something I can't quite figure out has me drawn in" ?

Aight fine it happend a couple times. But I only drop a show when I'm too lazy to put up the next episode (yes that laziness exists) and I have experienced "wow idk why but i gotta keep watchin it" through NagiAsu

Has anyone here seen or read "A Certain Magical Index"? Is it good?

Also, one of my coworkers has the Cowboy Bebop series on DVD. He's gonna let me borrow it. ^^

I plan on watching both at some point. Mikasa almost won the Best Girl Contest so I might as well check it out

I watched 2 and a 1/2 episodes of "Railgun" the spinoff series.
The main character had a very appealing (to me anyway) weapon/power (flicking coins with the force of being shot out a railgun), but it was a bit too fanservicey and goofy for me.
I don't know if you'd find it more appealing than I did or, if the main series was better or not though.

Been wanting to watch Kino's Journey, Mushishi, or Steins;Gate. Probably not going to watch any of them though.

Anybody know any creepy or spooky ones that aren't slow paced ?
I think my sister would like something like that. (She's more tolerant of fanservice than I am.)
