I may post a prologue of sorts tomorrow, so that everyone knows a little about the world's backstory and setting.

I mean, do you have any ideas now? I would like to make her tonight while I have free time. If not it's cool.

I cannot ge my laptop right now, so I cannot post it. You are welcome to post now, I will go over any needed revisions with you if need be.

Just some things that will help: No Psynergy, or GS elemental naming. No gods or goddesses. (Story reasons.) Weapons do not have unleash attacks, they are just strong weapons like in FE or FF1.

    I hope this helped!

It's magic, not Psynergy, so no attacks like Pyroclasm... ETC...

The magic works alot like how Soltur and I are using Psynergy in our RP. The attacks don't have names, they are just elemental magic attacks.

Prologue.

In the ancient world, a great evil was taking over the world at an amazing pace. The gods called upon a group of heroes to fight the evil. The war lasted for 100 years, and was ended only when the heroes sacrificed themselves to end the evil reign. The world knew 1,000 years of peace. Now the evil has returned! The gods seem to have left this world, leaving simple mercenaries to save it.

I still need to know a few things.  What's the world like?  Does it have a name?  You have an element system, so am I assuming correctly when I think High Fantasy as the genre?  Are there any specific rules we need to follow for what is and isn't okay in this world (i.e:  Limitations of magic and technology)?

Thanks for reminding me. NO TECH.

The world is very lush and green. Cities are plentiful and mostly surrounded by walls. Smiths and vendors like every RPG are everywhere. It's very mountainous and has a desert right in the center of the continent. There are ruins of an ancient civilisation peppered about as well. It's named "Avalonia".

No Tech is an impossibility, we're going to have some level of it... however, what I assume you mean is the standard High Fantasy level of "Middle Ages Tech".  Trebuchets are cool for armies, but guns are not.  Am I correct in this assumption?  Also, what effects do magic have on technology?  Are there "Magic Grenade" style items, such as the Arctic Wind and Zeus' Wrath from the final fantasy series (use item for magic damage - essentially a sealed spell that unleashes upon breaking the item)?  You mentioned an ancient civilization... did they have magitech?

What are the limits of magic?  Surely it's not able to do things like revive the dead and weave time.  Are we to assume standard RPG magic effects, and to treat Aether as "Non-elemental magic"?  Is it instant as in Golden Sun, or are there casting times such as in many of the Final Fantasy games?

I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions... It's important for me to know the rules of the RP before I join it is all.

You are right about the "middle-ages tech" thing.

Magic is instant and Aether is the ballance of Light and Dark, so it is elemental. No element has an advantage over another, but certain users may have a weakness to an element. No PLAYER can reshape reality with magic, change time, or resurrect the dead. Some villains will be able to.

The ancient civilisation did have a sort of magic tech, but nothing like airships. The did have advancements like plumbing and water-wheel power, tough.

One of the characters has a BIG secret.

Also, never apoligise for asking questions. I love to answer them.

Oh, so the magic system is more like Golden Sun's, then?  That's nice, I like it when each element has its own separate resistance variable.
I also see that there are some taboo fields of magic, and that the players are expected to be on the protagonist side of things, good to know.
About those magic grenades...?
So nothing like magic guns or rune cannons then?

What is the starting city called?
Is there a city with a known Thieves' guild?
Can I apply with two characters who act as a pair, or only a single character?
Are all player characters casters, or is the breakdown of spells/skills/techniques more akin to a Final Fantasy style class system, where characters are more specialized?

No magic weapons.

All characters can use magic.

No taboo, the heroes just cannot use advanced magic.

There is no Thieves Guild. Thieves work on their own.

The starting city is Blüdstorm, a port.

You can only make to characters if they have different elements.

All weapons like swords, axes, lances, bows, scythes, staves, flails, maces, hammers, crossbows, cat claws (like Vega from Street Fighter), mauls, fists, knives, and magic are up for use. I don't see the need for a weapon limit.
