Title: Sleep
Post by: Nyran on November 16, 2012, 08:58:45 AM
The evening hangs beneath the moon
A silver thread on darkened dune
With closing eyes, and resting head
I know that sleep is coming soon

Upon my pillow, safe in bed
A thousand pictures fill my head
I can not sleep, my mind's aflight
And yet my limbs seem made of lead

If there are noises, in the night
A frightening shadow, flickering light.

Then I surrender unto sleep
What dreams may come both dark and deep

This is a poem that was put to music by Eric Whiticare, and I think of it every night when I must sleep.

May it give you enough peace as it gives me.

That would probably help me sleep too. I have difficulty sleeping like a normal person, so using music as a mental escape really helps.

The album that helps me the most is Etarlis (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QCQUDS) by Mermaid Kiss. It's a folk/soft rock/symphonic blend of musical wonder that makes me forget about all of real life's nonsense.
