Still playing the same games. No real progress made in Rance, but I'm goin' steady in FFXIV.
The Gold Saucer came out the other day, so I've been playing the in-game card game a lot.
They even have the same music from VIII for it, don't even think it's a redone track, just straight from the PS1.
Still waiting on my check. It was here yesterday, but they misspelled my name, so I have to wait some more...
Megaman Zero games, are really hard. I only played the first one, but it was very brutal.  :16:

Bro I've been so into Triple Triad I forgot to do my Ixal dailies and get my Poetics caps. Frack.

A cup holder.

Or I could just hit you right now, that would work.

Finished up ORAS couple of nights ago, been training up some new teams and transferring over old ones via PokeBank. Really dislike the current Nintendo rules. Hoenn-dex only but Megas are allowed, Mega Blazikens EVERYWHERE and no solid counters or even checks to it. Sucks hard, especially considering MegaChicken doesnt count as a legendary even when it's power puts it in the Ubers tier.

Also new FF patch hit like 4/5 hours ago so been getting into that. New Relic weapon quests, Marriage system is in place now, cheaper crafting advancements... Got a lot of stuff to nail down ow before 2.5.

I've kind of trained myself to complete every game I play, even if I dislike it. I'd feel like I shouldn't be studying Games Development if I just skipped over half the stuff I play.

Funny, that's exactly the reason why I wouldn't cave. 16~ years with my cat has hardened me to his pleas for additional pylo- I mean food.

That and if my kid ever tried that on me I'd play mind games with them.

I threw ice cubes at my brother and told him it was for a good cause. That was my experience with all that challenge stuff.

Oh, I never actually put my page up here. There you go:

Feel free to whatever, I'm usually easier to contact through FB if you don't already have me on Steam or Skype anyway.

Good, actually. Surprisingly I'm great with kids in general, though I think that stems for the fact that no matter how much I mature I'm still a big kid at heart. I'm almost 24 and I found myself playing hide and seek in a chinese restaurant the other day with the owner's daughter because... well because why the hell not.

What I mean is we, as a general community/audience/market whatever term you wish to use, constantly bring up and discuss topics like these while simultaneously argue that we're beyond such behaviors and ignore them. We are doing two irreconcilable acts that simply make us look like a group of hypocrites.

And they have spoken their sides, both of them. This is the internet, you can't "interrupt" or "speak over" someone here as well as you could in a public debate. If one website won't listen you simply tab open a new one and speak there.

You also misunderstand, gaming itself is not at fault. If it were, I'd drop the hobby all together. However the mass demographic of gaming is ultimately to too immature at the moment. Yes, we have a large number of thinking, mature gamers. Yes, we try to put the spotlight on them as much as we can. The problem is our media is still young and as such the mature and intelligent portion of our market is too minute comparative to other medias such as film, television, radio or printed outlets. Yes, you'd be correct in saying those markets too have their bad-eggs as we do, the difference is they've had significant time to expand and mature (yes I'm using this word alot, but it is key to the argument).

Tonberry. I'm Australian, so it's the best I can do ping-wise.

The difference here being that a lot of movements that deal with said behaviour just block it out in some fashion or ignore the people entirely. With this whole GamerGate mess however this behaviour is being focused in on, pointing to these people as examples of a much wider audience that generally scorns said individuals for their actions. If this behaviour and these people should be excluded from the discussion of the movement as you and many others say, then they should not be brought up as a topic so frequently.

We as gamers are guilty of this all the time, so often we want to have our cake and eat it.

Apologies on my silent periods.

Been mostly raiding in FFXIV, keeping the company house and garden sorted, also working on finishing up my fishing log. These damn fish, why do they elude me so.

Besides that, playing Pokemon OR alongside my brother with AS, playing a few shooters and DotA2 with the clan as usual etc.

Been playing all the new releases as well, but to be honest not one of them has kept my interest more than a few hours.

No, in that any gamer worth his salt knows to not get involved in this kind of thing if you have the liberty not to. The big names who are speaking on the matter either had the spotlight thrust upon them or they had a responsibility to speak on the subjects at hand. We as random gamers have the freedom to pass by this rabble and do what we should be doing: enjoying videogames.

Yes, there are topics in this industry that are worth discussing at great length. This stopped being one of them as soon as rape and death threats were thrown around. The display from both sides of the argument here have been dreadful to say the least, and I'm of the honest belief that neither are worth rooting for and, as we have the liberty to do so, gamers in general need to learn to pick their battles better and this isn't one worth fighting.

And just to be clear, this isn't my own personal opinion either. I spent the last weekend at PAX Aus and asked around 30~ indie devs about the matter and all of them gave a similar response; avoid if you can. It's not worth dipping your feet into.
