It's a site where you can catalogue all the games you've played, are currently playing, and are looking forward to. This might seem pointless to some, but I thought it was fun.
Here is mine:

Soaktropolis - Village of Spam / The say something more pointless game!

A simple one. Try to say something more pointless than the person above.
(There is no winner. And there never will be. Just sayin')

Aqerame - Village of games and movies / Remakes/Remastered Games
« on: November 14, 2014, 07:18:48 AM »
Thoughts on remakes? Are there remade games you've bought before, even after playing the original? What games would you like to see remade?

I have:
Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD - I got this because I never owned either game in the past, even though I've played X to death. Never played X-2 though, and I was being unfair to it, thinking it looked like crap without ever actually trying it.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection - This was cheap, I hadn't played either game before and they looked pretty awesome. So far, it's been worth every penny.

Anyone here involved with, interested in or following this movement/insanity/debacle? Post your thoughts, if any.

Or do you tend to drop games somewhere before the ending?

Aqerame - Village of games and movies / Hype

I think this is an important video made by TotalBiscuit about games media, journalist and consumer responsibility and the hype surrounding games that no one has played yet.

It's pretty long, but he addresses a lot of very important issues that gamers should be aware of.

Use this thread to also talk about the topic in general too. Have you ever bern hyped for a game that you regret buying once you played it?

The Future of Golden Sun / I don't want Camelot to make Golden Sun 4.
« on: September 11, 2014, 08:32:24 AM »
...because let's face it: if they made it, it'd be a trainwreck. Dark Dawn is proof enough for me. Not only that, looking back at the dialogue of the first two games only solidified my feelings further. It's terrible. The ending of TLA is terrible. When you have a plot that requires its fanbase to fill in the holes of, which is just educated speculation at best, that's quite a problem. How does one solve this problem?

Someone else needs to make GS4. I'm at a point where I think Camelot is incapable now. I really doubt something like this would happen, seeing how stubborn Nintendo and its first parties like to be, but if it did... The results could be amazing. We could see actual closure on a lot of plotholes that have existed since TLA was released. We could finally have a challenging veteran's GS, both in battle and out, like TLA was. Or better! But who could do this? I have two companies I'd like to see make GS 4.

Atlus - I think this is the most obvious choice based on track record alone, but Atlus is a third party. That doesn't necessarily mean that they can't though, but do you see Nintendo doing something like this? Yeah, me niether. But let's say it did happen. Atlus has a reputation for making challenging RPG's with enjoyable, intuitive gameplay. They could breathe some new life into GS's combat system and create some nice puzzles to solve. I think this is what a lot of people would want, but I'm leaning towards another...

Monolith Soft - Famous for Xenoblade Chronicles and its upcoming successor, they have made some of the most intricate stories JRPG's have ever seen with the Xeno series. If anyone could bring closure to the GS series, and even improve it, it's Monolith Soft. I could see them making Weyard explorable again successfully too. They're experts at creating an immersive atmosphere and know how to properly dramatize events. That is something GS really needs, because the presentation of the story of the past three games has been lame at best. To top it all off, Monolith Soft is a Nintendo first party.

Thoughts? Opinions? Rants? Is there another group of developers you'd like to see work on GS, or am I talking out my ass and Camelot should just do it?

The Golden Sun series has pretty much no fanservice at all. o_O

Aqukoi - Village of Art, Music, Literature / My story I've been working on
« on: September 09, 2014, 12:59:46 PM »
Yes, the same one I've made little progress on the past 5 years or so.

Before I post any details, I want to know exactly who's interested and how many of y'all are. It will be a very very long post, so I don't want it falling on deaf ears (blind eyes?) y'know?

I originally had no plans on sharing it, but I will now for a couple reasons.
1. I no longer have any plans to make this into a written story. After thinking it over, the way I'd planned it out would make it more suitable for a game. It turned out that way because game stories are what I'm most familiar with. In fact, I'd say I'm more familiar with and have a better connection with those than all other types of stories combined. "Formatting" it into a novel at this point would mean I'd have to radically change it, and I would rather not because I like what I have created.
2. I've wanted to share it for a long time, but I've honestly been afraid to because I don't feel safe about posting my ideas online, and I've always had a subconscious fear of negative criticism. I really need to get over it because it's prevented me from pursuing other creative outlets, including making videos for Youtube or role-playing things. This can be considered step 1.
3. I've never gotten any feedback on my ideas due to me not sharing anything. I can't help but think my occasional feelings of disappointment or apathy regarding it is partly because of this.
4. Because I ♥ u guise. :3

Let me know if you're interested!

EDIT: posted some details on post 5 below.

Aqerame - Village of games and movies / Best stories in games?
« on: September 03, 2014, 01:09:19 PM »
I'm surprised this thread hasn't been created yet.

Basically, what are your favorite game stories and why?

I adore Rollercoaster Tycoon. I must have spent over a thousand hours on the series altogether.

Anyone else love this series or any other Tycoon games? I also really loved Zoo Tycoon, but I haven't played the second.

Aqerame - Village of games and movies / General Final Fantasy Thread
« on: July 27, 2014, 10:33:05 AM »
Here, we talk about Final Fantasy. To start off, you can copy/paste this little questionnaire if you want. Or not.

How you got into the series: Not really into the series right now so to speak, but my friend got me to play Final Fantasy X back in '01. Prior to that, I had seen another friend playing Final Fantasy VII, and I thought it looked interesting.
Games in the series you've played: X, XII, XIII, and brief parts of VI, VII and Tactics.
Favorite game: X
Favorite protagonists: Rikku, Yuna, Auron, Balthier, Sazh, Vanille, Fang
Favorite Antagonists: Seymour, Jecht, Rosch
Favorite moments: Seeing Blitzball being played in real-time on FFX made me wish it was real (I still do, just sayin'). In FFXII, ancient city of Giruvegan and the Pharos of Ridorana were very amazing places to visit. In XIII, all of the parts involving Dajh and the return to Oerba were pretty emotional for me.
