I really like her voice, as well. 8D

My favourite singer is Tony Kakko from the band Sonata Arctica. :>

Epic choice ^^

And so is James Labrie. He gets unfairly bashed for his vocals for some reason, but he's actually a really gifted singer.

I love Claudio Sanchez of Coheed & Cambria. His voice is just way too unique.

Russel Allen, Rachel Cohen, Heather Findlay and Vanessa Carlton are also some of my top favorites.

The indie film "Brick" from 2006. It was for a class though. Before that, it was "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" which I loved :gsjoy:

By the way, does re-watching the cutscenes for a game count? :D If so, then my last movies were Xenosaga Episodes I and II. Episode I is my favorite game evar >3<

I'm currently in the middle of several games, but haven't been able to finish them: Atelier Iris, Dark Cloud, Odin Sphere, Dragon Quest VIII. The first one got too monotonous, and the other 3 are just too hard for me...

I'm about to get Pokemon Platinum though :)

At one point, I remember giving the Swift Sword to Isaac, put him in the Samurai class  or some other brutal attack class, and when he did the triple strike, I landed over 1000 damage o_O But he was like level 45 or something.

:mercury_djinn: Definitely Mercury. I hate the heat, love cold weather, love rain, snow is awright, swimming is awesome and it makes for great fizzy drinks to battle that dreadful sun. Sorry, :sol:

It needs to be longer and more difficult. These two things are easy to fix.

The simplest solution to length, the entirety of Weyard needs to be explorable again, and not only that, the scale of the overworld needs to be increased DRAMATICALLY. This allows for more side-quests, more treasure, more room for more dungeons, etc. etc. etc. Not only that, if any towns from the old games still exist, they need to be visitable, not just mentioned over and over *cough* Bilibin *cough* even if they're just for passing through. I wanna visit Lemuria and Contigo again!

Interiors of dungeons should also be expanded and puzzles made more complex. In Dark Dawn, I felt like every dungeon was just in-and-out. Most of them only took me around 15 minutes. Air's Rock and Magma Rock from TLA took at least an hour each.

I like Maegra's idea of using the stylus to draw patterns for attacks, and this can also be used outside of battle to make psynergy more interactive. The stylus could be made to "push" objects with the Move psynergy instead of just pointing in a direction, for example.

Also, if it's at all possible, they could completely ditch the old tile-based overworld for a more organic 3D game since it would probably be on the 3DS, but I feel like that may be too much to ask for some reason... o_O

To make the game harder is also simple. For battles, they are currently too heavily-focused on your characters' equipment and not the characters' personal abilities. Weapons increase attack by too much and armor is too tough. The simple solution is to simply ditch all of the old artifact equipment in favor of new ones. They did this with TLA- most of the equipment you find along the journey (not in shops) are new, but even TLA had this same flaw. The endgame equipment is simply too strong, making Doom Dragon a joke of a final boss (well, I beat him my very first try on my first file...).

The weapon mastery was a good idea and should stay. The thing is, it was implemented poorly. Your characters master weapons fairly quickly, but not nearly as quick as the rate which you find new equipment. If it took LONGER to get each new equipment, then it would fit the game perfectly. Getting new equipment in the first two games suddenly made your characters vastly more powerful than necessary for the current situation (unless in TLA hard mode :gssweatdrop:). I also like having more than one unleash ability, since you can no longer cheaply spam certain uber attacks over and over.

I've seen this suggested elsewhere, but environmental effects could come into play for random battles or even bosses. It would break the monotony at least a little.

Status ailments are pretty much worthless except for stun and sleep, but even those can be easily cured by the extreme commodity elixir or restore psy. Deluded? Use Djinn or psynergy attack until it goes away. Psynergy seal? Attack or use Djinn until it goes away. Poison? Meh. Just cure it after the battle since it'll be over before you lose much. Haunted? You can practically ignore it. Cursed? It takes 9 turns. Most bosses don't even last that many, ignore. See what I'm getting at?
Delusion and Seal could both affect Djinn use, giving them a chance to fail. Poison could take away larger chunks of HP. Haunted could freeze you every now and then and make you miss a bit more often (cheeky ghosts ). Curse should be 3 turns. Also, since status effects are so bad currently, why do they almost NEVER work on enemies when we use them?

Speaking of enemies, why is their HP and attack so darn low? Even bosses. The Mountain Roc and Sludge went down in less turns than a curse ailment takes to summon death. More enemies could also have special abilities like counterattack... Actually, that might just be annoying. o_O But you know what I mean.

And yes, a few not-so-talkative characters would be welcome, which is why I dearly miss Felix and Ivan. There are too many characters and goings on for such a short game, it's easy to confuse people/places. It didn't help that they kept talking in circles either.

It would be nice if they would improve the forgery system instead of making it worse. There is less possible equipment (only ONE new set), it takes longer for Obaba to make it than Sunshine (in other words, leaving Champa is more time-consuming than Yallam lol), and you STILL can't just choose which piece you want.

I like the fact that 3 of the latter adepts are unique, but you hardly get to use two of them. Amiti is awesome  :amiti2:
I'd like to see a girl who is a heavy warrior (and no, they don't have to be a friggin' tomboy), or even a Jupiter heavy warrior of either gender. They have a lot to work with to make the next game more unique and hopefully they use it. :gshappy:

The Future of Golden Sun / Re: New characters
« on: August 17, 2012, 12:03:15 PM »
I'm gonna go out on a bit of a limb here...

Personally, I want no more old heroes' kids than we already have. It was really annoying in DD, imo, and made it... difficult to suspend my disbelief.
It seems like Takeru is a very high possibility already though. Same with Nowell.

Here's where I go out there:
-If Arhi is one of the wind adepts, and is a girl (pretty sure based on her clothing), make her a HEAVY WARRIOR :D
-Make Takeru a LIGHT WARRIOR and Nowell a SPEED character (the latter is unlikely though)
-A Proxian would be neat too, but they would have to be unique like Sveta, perhaps they can use scythe weapons like Menardi and Karst, or a new weapon type, such as spears or something.
-Later in the game, why not have Felix JOIN the party instead of just appear? because he's awesome He left Vale for some reason, maybe he's still out there, fighting for other people? Or perhaps he could have the tutor role in the beginning of the game for Takeru, with whom he crosses paths (though this clashes with his personality a little, imo).
-Something minor, but more playable characters that are older than 20... So far, the only ones are Eoleo and Piers. Arhi would be around 31. That would make 3 out of how many?
-Also, why not have a few playable characters who aren't adepts? Just an idea.

It would be so nice if they would change things up a bit. I mean, the first half of Dark Dawn feels like a clone of GS1 with a different map as far as battles go. =/ Anyway, that's my two cents.

The Future of Golden Sun / Re: Changes wanted in GS4 anyone?
« on: August 17, 2012, 10:56:17 AM »
I'd LOVE to see harder puzzles, perhaps some that make psynergy a more "interactive" feature when outside of battle. For example, using the stylus (or wii-mote... I'd drool if that happened) to actually push objects with "Move" instead of pointing in the direction you want. Also, more variety of psynergy. -_-

For battle, it would be really nice if status ailments were actually threatening. The only ones that do anything significant right now are sleep and stun, but they only last like 2-3 turns and are easily dissipated with "Restore". -_-

For the plot, I'd really like the main character to be a non-Venus adept for a change. Or a girl. Or both! Heck, why can't we have party members (that actually battle) who aren't adepts at all? Or a party whose characters aren't mostly 17 years old. -_-

I dunno, just thought I'd throw some ideas up there.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age / Re: Play time in GS TLA
« on: August 17, 2012, 09:40:50 AM »
It takes me around 30 hours to collect all the goodies and get to the end sequence. I can't remember how long it took the first time I tried but it was likely around 40 hours (I've beaten it like 3 or 4 times). My most recent file is 86:03 with level 83-91 characters on hard mode.

For GS1 I remember Isaac being level 51 or so, but can't remember the time

I just recently found you guys while desperately seeking news for a possible Golden Sun 4.
I've loved the series since the first one came out, and just recently finished Dark Dawn.
I guess I don't have much else to say yet, but Amiti is awesome :amiti2:  :gsjoy:
