I have found that in my numerous attempts to try and stay here, I have failed horribly. More often now do I forget this place exists, despite being a major factor in the advancement in the identity of he who is now known as Nyran Altair. From here, the name Nyran spawned into what it is today, and I honestly couldn't be happier about the change. Here, I learned of story, and how to better write it, and here, I made friends that i could never forget.

As something else to accompany the goodbye, which seemed a bit shorter than it really should for something as big as this, I'll leave you with a history of the name Nyran and how it started.

It all started years ago, when I was a small child, surrounded by Lego sets and Transformers along with Bionicle, and I had just begun getting into the age where stories came into you as you played with your toys. I was always fascinated, for some reason with the black and white heads that some lego minifigures had, as they were lacking in any details, and thought of why that could be. I came to the conclusion that they must be masks of some sort, and I decided that I wanted a cool mask one day. As such, the first incarnation of what would be Nyran started as a Stormtrooper who defected, and kept the armor, and the "black mask" who at the time was known as Nyklaus, and was a rather boring character. I don't miss him much.

Later on, I realized that adhering to the rules of someone Else's story wasn't as fun as making the rules of my own. So first cam Andan, a planet that was known for having Oddly Human Aliens, as well as Unrealistically Advanced and Impractical Technology. This story featured Nyklaus getting his first name change, to Knyras, as I enjoyed the letter K at the time. Here, Knyras was a Space Knight, and not the main character, but a mentor figure to a new character! This new character was a robot with morphing abilities to physically replicate organic life-forms. He adopted the human name of Zhane, and the stories I was thinking of at the time were about his shenanigans on earth, and fighting off evil, not-good guy aliens. This story was scrapped, and Zhane no longer exists.

Then came an era where I had almost abandoned the Scientific genre entirely, and fantasy enveloped my mind, and all was magical, and sword-based. I had also grown infatuated with Meaningful Names, and so I tried typing Knyras into Google. It asked: "Did you mean: Nyran?" or something like that. I liked the sound of it, and it's meaning(Eternal), and so the Dark Magic using Knight Nyran was born! This was MidKnight Nyran.

Then I entered the phase where I was critical of everything, even if it was good, so I scrapped everything of the past. I came up with a whole new story, during a phase where I felt that if something was Dark, it was automatically good. This era of mine had no Nyran, and he did not exist. Therefore, there needs no mentioning.

In all that time, a few things hadn't changed. My interest of Transformers, Sci-fi, and the Knight aesthetic fueled my desire for my character to lack a visible mouth in their design, be it covered by something, or just being something else. From that last point, though, my tastes had lightened up, and I decided that Nyran, in all of his incarnations together, was salvageable. I decided that rather than exclude either Sci-fi or Fantasy, and focus on one or the other, that the potential for both was amazing! So was forged the story of Nyran the Masked Earth Mage who after contracting a magical fatal illness, was saved by bug people to become a mechanical being 100% with the mind(not physical, just psychologically) of a human. Here I would take on threats of the magical, the technological, extra terrestrial, or the extra Techomagical threats.

And so I used the identity of Nyran to represent myself and begin my online time into the realms of forums.

So with that history of my character, I bid you goodbye for the final time, my friends, and I don't want any of you to expect me to post, or even lurk around here anymore. I will miss you all, and I want you to know that I really did enjoy my time here.

No, I'm not leaving, and I /do/ lurk from time to tie, and try to post when I can. Happy April Fools, guys.

Ah, okay. I stopped paying attention to that karma thing a while ago.

BTW, the leaving was quite false, but the story was mostly true. I blame faulty memory on any faults in it, but it wasn't a lie. Also, it would've been awesome of all these many months of a sense had just been leading up to this joke.

April Fools, Nyran was playing with his lego when he stepped on one, and made the Nyran as a legendary hero, slayer of lego beasts that dare to dash under human feet.

If this is supposed to be a April Fools joke, why is it still an active topic? -W-
