Everyone seems to agree that Matthew, Karis and Tyrell will return, with debate between Rief and Amiti but everyone seems to agree that 3 or 4 party members will return.

Odds of children from other games
Felix          15%     Camelot could do the second party thing again, but that is not likely and with Takeru likely in the mix...
Sheba       10%     Karis is already a clone of both Ivan and Sheba, another would be redundant
Piers         5%       The odds of Nowell falling in love with someone who has a child are slim to none

Gonna go out on a whim here and say I expect more than 8 characters

My views are,

• We have 72 Djinn in DD and know there are more out there., some which are new, So I expect to see 72 plus another 72 in the next game to bring the character total up to 144, 9 Djinn per character.
• The second game this new 2nd gen of GS games is in my eyes gonna be bigger than DD.
  
• Im expecting both Takeru and a son of Felix will take the spots for Venus.
  
• Because we got a were beast before, quite possibly I think we will get a Proxian as one of the new Mars adepts.
  
• Nowell is looking like a cert right now for the Mercury adept and i think maybe yet again another Lemurian, maybe an apprentice of Piers or something, maybe a spawn of Hydros or Conservato himself...I would have thought that quite possibly we could see one that hailed near Aqua rock but with Gaia rock being gone in Dark Dawn, i think all the rocks will be gone which is sad as it added so much story to how adepts were becoming to be.
  
• Jupiter, just give me a male warrior. Think Ahri will be a cert here also

A proxian would be the what I would expect. The fact they they played a huge role in the last 2 games then are gone from DD means there potential to bring them back into contention

To be honest, I doubt we will get Luna/Sol adepts. Even Luna's adepts inclusion in DD was the biggest EFT moment for me, there was no need for it, All they had to do was make it that they were Jupiter adepts.

• We have yet to have a Jupiter antognist.
• Mourning moon barks Jupiter.
• To avoid breaking the four element rule.
• The fact that Heart and Blade wore purple with green and pink hair yet again says to me wind.

Dark Dawn successor is gonna have a lot of explaining to do.

I agree. The characters should be epic. Because I read somewhere that Matthew, Karis, and Rief were sons and daughters of the warriors of vale. The other four were all princes and princesses. I didn't realize that. lol.
