I have to agree. That battle was pretty challenging. The extra turn/s threw me off my strategy a few times.

I didn't use a strategy with him. I just fought how I'd normally fight: strike with three and heal. Although, I did have to use several Psy Crystals...

Damn...I feel old. :(
Don't, I used to until I realised we still have pleeeenty of years of gaming ahead of us. We can complain about 'the kids these days' when we have Final Fantasy XXXII and Call of Duty: Modern Black War Ops 23.

In any case, I never actually found any of the bosses hard. Maybe it's because when it comes to RPG's I always try to Min-max my characters, so things that should be a challenge are generally a breeze. Though I can see how Djinn Storm + Cruel Ruin could be a pain for a lot of people.

Doom Dragon, the only hard one out of the 3 imo. Fusion Dragon seemed cheesy for a last boss. Doom Dragon was a much more emotional finale. And the Chaos Chimera really just felt... phoned in to me.  :gsfrown:

I am in total agreement. Doomy was the best because he was a challange, but not overkill.

I thought it was interesting how it got much stronger as the fight progressed despite losing its heads, as well as losing its number of turns.

Fusion dragon was a good boss fight, Doom Dragon loved to catch me off guard so that one was the best.

Now chaos chimera...no just no. Why is that even a final boss? when i fought the first two final bosses i died 50 times before i beat them. Chaos Chimera, died only, count it, 1 freakin time! For me good final bosses are ones that you can go back to at the same level as when you first beat it and still be able to die, even though you know what attacks to use. That did not happen with Chaos Chimera.

I kinda wish that Golden Sun was a bit more imaginative with their final bosses.
i mean stop merging two or more people together!

I beat Chaos Chimera on my first try lol. I think I lost to Saturos and Menardi once, and lost to Fusion Dragon twice when I was a noob cake.

Doom Dragon beat me once, but I was way better at the game. It still caught me off guard the first time too and totally pwned me. *-*

Chaos Chimera... I beat it on my first try -.- it DID wipe out a lot of my part members (I had like 6 dead at one point), but I somehow managed to revive them all and win.

when i get stuck on the final boss i get bored so i re-do the whole game and get stuck on the final boss again. but this time i knew the before parts of the game better so i dont rush through the game and fight the final boss level 25 like i always do. now im at level 35 and i die less and less often. i like restarting the game because it gives me something to do.

Makes sense to me. I usually don't restart a game until long after I've completed or given up on it though. It feels like grinding to me, which I have no attention span for anymore.
