Hey guys, I've just started using E Shop and thought, well since Advance games are inevitable, we should be seeing Golden Sun released for Virtual Console sometime in t he future.

I think both titles will be released at the same time much like the oracle games were.

I think it's inevitable that it will be on the 3ds, but I'm not sure if they'd also release it on the Wii U or not, I'd rather they not because a big screen 3ds XL for Golden Sun is all I need, plus Golden Sun was and always will be a handheld series.

One problem with Lost Age is might be imperfect seeing that without the transfer Clear file from Broken Seal, much like the Oracle games, we are unable to get certain things.

I'm actually looking more forward to Broken Seal, it's a game I can put a lot of time into, I have yet to reach lv 50 on my Advance copy, plus I never really played through the whole game, I just have a game that's already beaten, so Broken Seal would actually be like a new experience.

What do you guys think, who here is in support of seeing Golden Sun on the Virtual Console?

If so, which one are you looking forward to?

Broken Seal?

Lost Age?

Both?

There is a program out there that generates transfer codes for TLA for you.

Also, the Oracle games were completely code-based, so you could do it without linking or anything.

But yes, this is something that they should do, especially if there are plans for GS4. There are plenty of people who have played Dark Dawn, but not the first two games. I probably wouldn't buy them though because I prefer having the physical copies :P

If they're giving up on GS4, then it probably wouldn't happen.

Megaman Battle Network.

...What?  Both of my copies of TBS and TLA work just fine.  It's the MMBN games - which only have one file - that I really want and am looking forward to.

You have to link two systems together while sending a clear file, even if you used the password.

Same goes for Oracle games, I think, otherwise without the link cable, the game can't detect the other game, it's like trying to trade Haunter to evolve into Gengar with one system, can't be done.

Trut me on this. I've owned physical copies of Golden Sun, TLA and both Oracle games in the past, and not once had I ever linked them together using the link cable. I've even played them on emulators as well using the passwords, and they work fine. No linking is necessary if you have the passwords.

I hope you are right, because do you know how much Lost Age on Virtual Console would suck if the Clear Data can't be transferred?

There are a lot of things in Lost Age that won't be accessable, including my favorite place to fight monsters because they aren't such weaklings, Anemos Sanctum, most of all no Dullahan battle, no Iris, no Masamune, can't have all the stupid Djinn, it would suck.

Hope he's right?  That's how it works right now.  Of course it's gonna work - they're not gonna add or remove anything, it'll be the game we got before.

Agreed, it will be the game we got before... Pokemon remake had relatively "minor" changes. Don't think this will be that extreme though.

The virtual console doesn't do remakes, just re-releases of old games to play on the Wii/Wii U/3DS. In other words, the games will be exactly the same as they've always been.

I don't mind mentioning remakes, it's something they probably will eventully make, I do believe the first two Golden Sun games will get a remake someday, I'm going to be honest here, Dark Dawn wasn't the resurrection game we wanted it to be, so I'd rather see them go and remake the first two games before seeing Golden Sun 4.

Of course they'd probably either remake the first two games as one whole game, or maybe it would be a set of two like how Pokémon games are released, etherway I see them releasing the remakes on the same date, I'm hoping after the Mario Golf garbage is done, Camelot will begin on a remake.

I just don't think Takahashi is ready for Golden Sun 4, he needs to warm up, a remakes of Broken Seal and Lost Age is the perfect warm up, oh and he should tell Sakurai to include Isaac so that Golden Sun gets the attention of the Super Smash Bros audience.

I will be making a topic about remaking the first two games, so look for that.

Anyway as much as I'd love to get Golden Sun on VC, I'd rather see remakes, and since I don't ever see them making Golden Sun on the Wii or Wii U, I think if they do remake Broken Seal and Lost Age on 3ds, I don't know I'm still a bit afraid we might not be able to get the linked stuff from the clear game on Broken Seal, Star Magician, are you sure this works without a link cable?

I'm just saying how is the data supposed to transfer without the Link cable?

The thing is we won't have the link cable available on VC, and like I said Lost Age will really suck without the Clear Game transfers from Broken Seal.

What is this program you're speaking of that generates transfer codes for TLA, Star Magician?

Is it the password sending?

That's the only one I know of, plus, it's the legit way of getting Clear Data on Lost Age from Broken Seal and remember we get the games exactly how they were made on the GBA, except no ascessories such as Link Cables.
